Be careful of Dawn Daniels

Word of Advice:

Be very careful of Dawn Daniels. She is not a very liked individual among the majority of of the pilots at expressjet. She is very unprofessional and is not a sincere person and is bitter about not flying the line due to the fact she lost her medical. Expressjet needs to find a better format in recruiting pilots and using Ms.Daniels sadly enough was not the right choice. Expressjet is a wondering company but they need to find quality people in management to attract quality pilots.

CAL is recalling 240 at a rate of 30 per month so "wondering" or not, we gonna see us some hiring at Xjt. Hopefully more than 30 a month cause I sure aint much feeling like gettin junior manned. Let alone getting a personal drop granted by scheduling.

Things are going to begin to happen to me now!!!!

Here we go agoain with the anti-Dawn Daniel crap.

To those of you on the outside who don't like Express Jet's hiring procedures, or feel you were treated poorly in the process, I humbly apologize, and politely suggest that you get on with the rest of your lives, realizing it is not your duty to warn everyone else about what a "horrible" outfit this is just because you didn't like the experience.

To those of you (Peace) who have never interviewed here, or met the individual, or feel compelled to bad-mouth an individual in public anonymously because of some imagined slight that your friend's, cousin's, neighbor's flight instructor suffered during the interview process, May I not-so-politely suggest you:

  • Grow a pair of balls, post your name, and make an effort to personally contact our airline and Ms. Daniel with your astute observations concerning how we should be doing business. I'm sure we'd be delighted to hear from you.
or,

  • Act like a grown up and have the integrity of character to leave the gossip, innuendo and lack of maturity to others.
Express Jet's hiring process was top-notch professional, and impressed me quite a bit. Good luck Rally. This is a great operation.

The little voice is telling me to read the posts... and observe from a distance. Since when do I listen to that voice...

I went to IAH for an interview a little over a week ago. I was sent home after the company sales pitch because I was a few hours short on the Actual IFR time. Having said that....

Dawn called me out of class, very professionally and very clearly explained to me why I was being sent home, what to do, and how to re-apply.

Having a grand total of twenty minutes worth of exposure to a person doesn't make them a good judge of their true character, but I'm flying whenever the weather's crappy, in the interest of reapplying.

I didn't see any of the unprofessionalism that has been reported in the threads of various posts at this website. Do a search, there's a few of 'em. The pre-interview anxiety that they caused was totally unfounded. I'm looking forward to my next trip down there.

Take this for what it's worth. Just my opinion.

At least that other moron is gone. He was a real wiener. What was his name? John Something... Called me an "opportunist" for waiting 10 years to get my commercial when the airlines started hiring.

You on crack? HA, the above was hilarious.

Let's see here, Mr. Dresser was actually a very experienced, accomplished, and liked pilot who "knew" the hiring process (and business) unlike Ms. "Martini" (as Houstonians know her as) or Ms. Da da dannniels to the others. She is there due to what is apparently a medical condition and cannot hold the appropriate class go back to first officer, she is a piece of work. She has never left the right seat of any aircraft that EJ has.

Comparing Ms. Daniels to John is like comparing water to wine and saying that they taste the same, she can't hold a candle to him.

Thanks

My dealings with her on phone and through email have been very professional. I can understand why people might be a little irrated but on the phone she asked me if had the actual and flight time that I needed, maybe they did'nt use to that.

Shouldn't that have been something they caught ON YOUR RESUME? Why would they even fly you down if you didn't have the minimum Actual IFR time? Seems like a waste of their time and money (not you AftCG...just the fact they didn't get that info first).

I asked myself that same question about a million times while waiting around IAH, and a few more times later at CLE. But the only cost to me was a day of my time. Got home and resumed hauling jumpers the next morning. The experience was valuable. Won't have the "first interview nervous wreck condition" next time. Just got an e-mail inviting me to Honolulu for an Island Air interview. That one's going to cost me, though. Lots to consider....

Dam dude, you lose your backpack or something? I guess if I cared enough about working for some place, the first thing I would do is lose important contact information.
