It's confirmed.....Mesaba Feb 15th furloughs received FedEx overnight Furlough letters today.

Captain Ed

Got mine.......................courtesy of CAPTAIN Ed!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone ever correct this guy on the title he uses????

I would be more than happy to trade places with someone on the furlough list. I have a temporary job offer, but planning won't let me do the voluntary. Sorry guys.

That really sucks. Sorry guys.

Pinnacle is hiring!!!

No thanks! I'd rather be furloughed than work for Pinnacle or Mesa. Those are 2 airlines I don't want on a resume.....along with Great Lakes and Gulfstream.

Flexjet and NetJets are hiring like crazy, plus they pay you much, much better than any regional ever will!

hmmmm

Cough cough - SuperBowl Weekend - My Steelers - Cough Cough - Getting laid off - Or should I just continue to be loyal to ol' CAPI-TAN Ed and Spangebob Jinglepants? I feel extremely sick! See ya XJ!

Hey y'all, despite the fact that they've totally messed up our lives and have made a habit of jerking us around, let's all make sure we take lots of extra time on those pre-flights. You know, Captain 'Special' Ed says we're all getting a little lax on that...

WHooooaaa there buddy. Netjets, yes.

Flexjet: avoid like the PLAGUE! A lot of very angry, millitant people over there right now, 3rd or 4th union drive and the Chief Pilot RH likes to fire anyone who even BREATHES that they support a union, "Oh, I'm sorry, but that sweater is not the approved uniform, you're in violation of the dress code, you're fired." And "pay you better than any regional"? Are you kidding me? PCL F/O's reach Flexjet F/O pay rates at year 5 here at PCL and WE'RE THE WORST PAYING F/O JOB IN THE REGIONALS! If I were still at Flexjet I'd be on the 45 making about $60k. I'm on 4th year CA pay here at PCL and made $65k last year with about the same days off as the NEW payscales give. Get your facts straight about Flexjet, it's definitely NOT the place to be, even with the new payscale.

And as far as regionals to avoid, I would suggest G0Jets would be a bit more of a place to avoid than Pinnacle, but I digress.

I personally believe you guys won't be out very long, PCL is nearing the end of our first year of negotiations and it's time for the whipsawing to begin. With the RFP that should be announced in the next 30 days I have a $100 wager with a few people that at least 30, if not 50 of our CRJ's are coming to you guys.

I also think it's crap that they won't let you take voluntary furloughs over there... that's what I'd be looking forward to when we start downsizing over here - I ain't going back on reserve or to the right seat, I'd quit first. :(

Good luck over there!

Got my special delivery too... My acceptance letter to Schoolcraft College. Oh yea and I got that packet of firestarter from Mr. Ed.

The reason they won't let you do vollentary furlough is probably because they have enough flying to keep the current fulough list flying! I've heard that S-crew Scheduling is gettin' a touch nervous about the end of Feb already!

Good luck guys. Hopefully our Union can stay strong like they did for our mighty CRJ fleet. I'd REALLY be ticked right now if they had given in then and we end up with 2! TWO!!

Can I get in on that bet? I'd wager that we won't lose more than the 15 we've already lost unless they're replaced with bigger planes. Count me in?

everyone is always trying to maintain a positive attitude.....like PCL 128......i understand, but do not beelive anyhipe.....especially your own. i have heard a few Pcl guys brag about a new certifcate and a new airline.......or getting 70 and 90 seat airplanes. I think its up to NWA pilots what they allow their company to give away their flying. remember....we are in this S*&hole together.....and the management is playing us all against each other-which ALPA has allowed to happen over the years, just so they can have their race to the top. Hope they are seeing their errors finally
