My student wants to do an instrument x/country flight from Florida to Georgia.
He also wants to have some fun along the way.

I suggested White Water Rafting somewhere in those mountains.

Does anyone know or have personal experience to where a good airport would be located close to a guided tour operator?

wow i wish i go to have "fun" on an XC...i the stuff i was gonna suggest would have been like flying to a busy apt and watching planes land, i was at MDW and went to this pizza shop down the street and it was awesome to watch the SW 737's come screaming over your head....but white water rafting? that's a bitmuch unless he's gonna be camping there at the airport...

Savannah, Ga - Lots of bars and a nice coast flight if your on the east side of the arm pit. Overnighter highly recommended.
