Hey everyone..

Just wondering what your thoughts are.. I've got a set of DC 13XANR headset right now. However I was thinking of the Telex 850 for the plane. Which would you suggest?? or should I stay with the DC's

Thanks in advance

Does it have an intercom?

If not, I'd stay away from ANR headsets. If it does, an ANR headset would be fine, but really not necessary-- it's pretty quiet. I use an old Telex Airman 750, myself.

yeah same here. i'm not even familiar with the headsets you are talking about, but i also use a telex 750. it works just fine, and i bought it off ebay for like 90 bucks. just don't buy one new for $225. you can find a used one way cheap.

c ya

I have a plantronics starset which is a behind the ear deal with an earplug. We didn't have an intercom in either 35, so even with an airman 750 you have to keep one ear free from the headset anyway.

Thanks for the input.. In fact both A/C have an intercom and I was hoping to switch to the Telex 850's for some continued noise reduction. Did one fam flight already and really the only noise was in descent but we'll see...

Thanks again

Go with the Telex 850's... Good amount of noise reduction and you don't have to fool with any batteries.
