There was no written test when I interviewed 18 months ago. What does Kit Darby have to do with the sim? Maybe I'm missing something.

Sim profile is takeoff, manual throttles once a/c is clean and level. 1000 FPM/250 Kt turning climb crosswind, 90 degree intercept to vor radial which creates a turn to downwind, verbally talk through several sets of holding instructions they give you on downwind (type of entry, which way you'll turn and to which heading, what speed you'll use, etc.), descend 1000 FPM while turning base, 90 degree intercept to a NDB bearing which puts you on final, pick up ILS and fly it to landing. They don't really care if you can land it - just be on centerline.

It may have changed since I did it but that's the way it was. Good Luck.

My understanding is I think they use the sim at Air Inc. Thanks for the info.

Oh,
well then that's new too. They used to interview in ATL and use the sims at Delta since that's where they do their training.

There is a computer test at Air Inc. Very similar to ASVAB. Questions are related to Math and English. There are also questions with answers like, "agree, somewhat agree, disagree" etc...

Not very difficult just time consuming. Study fractions and percents.

Sim is basic but very sensitive.

Tell Kit D. hi.

Test?!

I'd be surprised if World even looks at the results. The test is probably part of the package deal AirInc sold World. Now AirInc can say to other companies they're selling their interview process to, "look at the results our testing achieved."
