Does anyone know what happend to Wrightway Aviation out of Daytona Beach, FL? Airnet has them listed as a preferred training center.

Cliffnotes goes like this. Wrightway merged with Executive a few months ago. But now Executive is out of money and closed down as of a few weeks ago. Is this your first year at DAB or you been there a while?

Wrightway is not dead yet?

Executive has not shut down. I was just at Executive yesterday and they are still flying, but they are for sale. The current owners want out becuase things are slow. I am not sure of there relationship with Airnet anymore, but I was a Wrightway guy that used there connection to get hired at Airnet. The Chief Flight Instructor is still friends with Craig I was told. Any other questions PM me.

Executive is at DAB but like it was said the owners are selling. I was told it was closed already but guess that may be wrong since I dont live in DAB anymore if someone says they are still open. Either way I know a few people that got screwed over by Executive back when it was called RAC. Regional Airline Charter i think it was called NOT at all associated with RAA in DED. If I were you I'd look elsewhere. There are plenty of schools on the field at DAB if you can go door to door and see which one has an atmosphere that agrees with you the most.

Yes indeed, you are very wrong. You might want to check your facts before you bash a flight school. I don't know about the people who got screwed over by RAC, but the chief pilot of our school is honest and he looks out for students.

There are lots of students and instructors from Wrightway who came over to Executive. I'll be honest and tell you I instruct here and invite you to tour our facilities. I would also reccomend checking out some other schools on the field and maybe even take a drive down the New Smyrna to see what they have to offer.

First off I wasnt bashing Executive. Also just heard from another source at DAB that the owners of Executive are selling. Now its time for some facts. Executeive used to be called RAC before they moved to the new building at the end of the street. Then thier name changed from RAC to Executive all the aircraft and instructors moved to. Same company diff name. Then a few months later Wrightway and Executive merged and the Wrightway hanger became empty. So the reason that the Wrightway CFI's and students moved is cause Wrightway moved. They didnt go over because they wanted "Executive". Now lets talk about my buddies that got screwed over. You can ask my buddie how much fun he had when he pulled the carb heat on and the whole handle cable and all came out the dash. Or my one buddy that had the transponder fall onto his lap. Or how much fun they had getting yelled at by Miss M-----. Or ask my one buddy who put some money down and then was unhappy with the service and planes and treid to get his money back and Miss M--- would not give it back and he ended up just flying it off. Or ask my buddy that quit instructing there a while ago and is still waiting on his last pay check. Well I hope that they are a little more customer freindly now that Mr J--- is there. Anyways not tryin to sound all crazy but those are the facts that I have so Ill post them so you cant say that Im posting factless info.
