Too big? I get that complaint on occasion, but it usually resolves itself. Uh, where did the origional post by emb pilot go?

I meant to ask what you guys think about UAL+CAL size. ~16%+~10% of the market = 26%.
Do you think the DOJ might have monopoly issues?

Would that be larger than USair + Delta?

These are the only scenerios that stabilize an unstable industry. Consolidation is the only feasable answer. And the government does want a stabilized airline industry.
 
I would not think it would be too big in the eyes of the DOJ.

Keep in mind Northwest holds the key to any Continental moves. In fact, I think a Northwest and Continental merger would make good sense.

I would think that UAL may be interested in Alaska.
