Hey, here is one for you to ponder and debate --

If you were given the chance, would you pick a regional based at home, a fractional based at home, or stick it out at your current regional that you have been with for 11 months? (commuting)

I have the chance to go to a home based regional and the chance to go to a home based fractional! My choices have become more complex... I also could just tough it out and keep commuting! (not likely)

Input greatly appreciated...

For me it's a regional based at home. Since I'm 40+ I have no desire to move on and start at the bottom of a seniority list again. The money is satisfactory for my needs and I'm home most of the time. The fractional pilots are typically on the road a lot more. All I can say is figure out what's really important to you and work toward a job that makes that happen for you. Good luck.

As I said on the fractional forum, wait until Netjets starts active hiring again before you jump to a fractional. I would advise against Flexjet due to cloudy growth projections - although the Challenger 300 is selling well. Flight Options would be a good bet but I think Netjets would be even better - can't beat flying one of their 60+ Citation Xs or a nice Falcon 2000 with a stew... I would suggest you stay at your current position (tough it out) and build a network of Netjet pilots in case you haven't applied with a recommendation - you will need one.

You need patience - you'll be happy you waited once you step into the sharp end of a Netjets Citation X...

Good luck.
