World hiring still going??

On their website, they show a posting dated June 29th '07 for first officer positions. Anyone know if they're still hiring or if it's an old job posting? I read an older World thread that showed interviews last month. Just curious cause the date on the job post was throwing me off.

In addition, any chance of a commuter puke with no internal recs getting an interview??

Currently hiring for an MD11 class in August. Most likely another DC10 class as well.

They were looking at resumes this week to make the call for interviews. If you are interested you should fax your stuff in ASAP.

Is the 1000 Turbine PIC a hard minimum like at FedEx, or if you know the right people can that min be waived?

Fred Smiths kid could not fly at FEDEX with less than 1000 TPIC

As far as I have heard more hiring to be done. I have also heard we have more swimming in the UPS pool waiting to give notice. If this is true we will be hiring for a while to come.............Good Luck

my take on things... FWIW!
chief pilot knows we are understaffed slightly...however we lose 3 md-11s next year, although we are getting two DC-10s, and two 7474s starting about that time...numbers should work out as he mostly wanted to avoid a furlough situation.
probably will hire some professional F.E.s. I think this plan is based on current levels of staffing, so as we lose some people to UPS or majors I think you will see some small classes throughout the year.

I keep updating my stuff with World-however does anyone know if they plan on attending the AirInc. job fair in Sept. in IAD??
