17 bucks an hour, lots of flying, good planes. But PLEASE tell your students to tuck in their shirts (they wear airline costumes there), shave and quit walking around in public view with cigarettes dangling from their lips. Nobody there seems to care about the image they project and they look bad.
But as a CFI it's a good place. PM me if you want and I can tell you who to call.
Is there a location in florida or do they jusy have west coast locations??
When ever I got to my CFI level That is one of the places Id like to instruct
besides RAA...
They closed the Florida campus. I never liked the uniform / costume idea, especially when you go half-a$$ed with it. Nothing lokks dumber than a kid running around with a white shirt, stripes, and slacks while sporting a goatee and having hair touching below the collar...or worse yet EARRINGS!!
And for pete's sake...QUIT PUTTING YOUR SUNGLASSES ON THE SHOULDERBOARDS!!!!!!
Other than that, if I were in your shoes, I'd go PAIFA to CFI over RAA any day.
I saw an ad the other day that Pan Am will pay for advanced CFI ratings? How long does it take once you hit the property until you can start working on some of those ratings, i.e CFII, MEI?
acaTerry was close to the actual pay scale. Starting pay works out to be $19.50/hr. This factors in brief time for each flight. Instructors typically have 4 students which affords them as many flights/day.
