Hey all - just getting into 135 Charter and I'm wondering what the different working conditions and starting pay are around the country. Please list size of fleet, aircraft, starting salary, days off, location and benefits.

Thanks, Baja.

Do a lot of research on your prospective employers, ask a lot of questions, talk to their pilots and maintenance people, talk to the local FSDO.If they have a lot of turnover and QOL is bad, then that is a RED FLAG,better not go there.
About 3 out of 4 Pt.135 operators are in the category of BOTTOM FEEDER.You have to look real hard to find a good operator these days.

Southeast
12 aircraft (tprops, light and mid jets)
8 hard days off
Entry F.O. around 20k
Entry Cpt. around 40k
pay varies due to exp,payplan,acft
full benefits, vacation

NorCal...

Freight
402's
$2900/mo starting pay
Bennies (health, etc) after 90 days
1 yr gentleman's agreement (no contract...just screw with you if you leave early...ie: "Won't rehire pilot" on your PIAA request. ;) )
RNO or MHR based runs

PM me for more info.
