That's odd. You can wear a US Flag tie, but if you wear the tie flag of the state that you are a citizen of, you could get docked pay or disciplined?Chest Rockwell said:Texas Ties - No. I believe there are two or three patriotic ties approved plus the company issued ties.

I'd wear one from the state that you are a citizen of and when they write you up for it, sue for harassment.

I am not, however really happy about the direction my beloved country has taken in the last 20 years or so. Tie, one each, zipper type, plain blue, nothing follows. I rode in a van for 20 or so minutes with the FA who supossedly owns the company that sells the "Patriotic ties." She is now on my personal "Banned-for-life list." If you really want to get technical, the stars and bars ARE NOT supposed to be worn as clothing, like a flag sweater, or a TIE. Look it up.
Actually, you renounced your state citizenship when you entered into a contract with the federal government by applying for a "social security number". [maybe not, according to Amendment XIV, Section 1?]FlyBoeingJets said:Americans are residents of the state they are in. Unless, of course, you believe the South will do it again, live in Puerto Rico or are in the state of confusion.
BTW, at SWA Sue is a flight Attendant, not a way of communicating with the Company.
Ack!
d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free.
Not really. There's nothing wrong with patriotism, whether it be for the United States of America or one of the several states. You have dual citizenship here in these united sovereign states. It's a great thing, not a bad thing...and certainly not in the "wrong direction".Otto77 said:wow this thread is steering in the wrong direction...
Unless of course we're talkin bout any state that begins and ends with a vowel or Missouri. :laugh:FN FAL said:Not really. Yes they do, but they share it with Iowa on the odd days of the month. Michigan gets it on certain holidays and the extra day in leap year.Whataburger said:Does Indiana even have a flag??
