Looking for opinions, I have a wiskey and a coex interview in the next two weeks, If I get offered both jobs, which one to take and was wondering what people think of the two companies. I will be commuting to either so that does not matter in my decision.

Wait until you get the job offers, then decide. You will find out more about each company and its own "culture" during the interview process that will help you make a more informed decision. Right now your priority is preparing for the interview. There will be plenty of time afterwards to decide.

Good luck!

I think the movement here at ExpressJet will likely be faster, but I'd kill for a Denver base. That'd be a tough one for me. CRJ Puppy's right, though . . . it may not even be your decision to make. Good luck!

TOGA:

After the "112" go to CAL, what movement will there be?

Basically, you're going to move up 112 numbers from your 9/10/01 bid seniority and that's where you'll stop. period.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

I would say that another consideration is whether you prefer CRJ or ERJ. I personally think the CRJ flightdeck is more comfortable (I have sat in both). I know pilots who have flown both and the CRJ seems to be preferred on longer flights (my own informal poll).

Do we know whether Whisky will have a problem deploying the former AirTran CRJs after the contract ends? That could be an issue to watch closely - not sure how that will impact pilot movement.

On the plus side, I have heard good things about Coex. It has a great route structure with a lot of new Mexican destinations added recently. It flies everywhere from California to Nova Scotia (although it does not fly to the Northwest yet).

Good luck

Just worry about getting offered a job. You sound mighty confident. What would you do if neither offered you a position?

NMB Mediator just suspended talks early this week at XJT. If you go there you may not even be out of training before you have to walk off the job unless you want to be a you know what. I would steer clear of XJT until the smoke settles with the contract stuff.

....

When you say "suspended," do you mean they ended the week long talks with pretty much nothing accomplished, or are they getting a mandatory cooling off period. I don't understand these contract negotiations terms a whole lot, so you'll have to enlighten me? As for stopping talks, hey, they meet, they talk, they stop for a week or so, isn't this how it normally goes?

What happened to all the XJet pilots shooting their mouths off saying the contract almost a done deal and that they were going to raise the bar? We'll see if they have the stomach for a fight now.
I think you will be in for an education.

We'll see, but then again alot of you paid to play, so management knows that when push comes to shove you guys love to fly so much that you will pay to do it.

Ya well lets see the NMB told us that because of CHQ and Mesaba and Mesa why should we expect anything? We weren't even offer Comair Rates.

SO SHut your hole a$$wipe. We are in this situation because of the pathetic contracts other settled for.
