Anyone ever give sightseeing rides to folks wanting to look at birds or other wildlife? Specifically, birds in flat, wetland coastal type areas.

How did/do you advertise this service?

Thanks

Aren't there easier ways to look at birds?

From a safe altitude, the birds would look pretty small I think....

safe over non-congested area with no people, houses or cars for miles could pretty pretty darn low (per 91.13 & 119). No wildlife altitude or noise restrictions in this area either. Flown slow and low in a J-3 with the door open can give a pretty good view. I've done if for duck hunters. I was wondering more about bird watchers.

Birds???????

I have gone to look at moose while on a scenic tour.
Birds are hard to see., plus if you are circling low over wetlands disturbing birds you might just find yourself in trouble with bird lovers.

Yea, that was my only real concern... but how you going to get a good look at them without making them jump and fly?!?! ;)

Seriously, like I mentioned above, you can get up pretty close in a J-3 pulled back. it's pretty quiet. You'd be suprised how close to hawks, buzzards and geese you can get without them breaking away.
