This will likely be covered on the NBAA boards, but Whichita is on strike. I was scheduled in there and thankfully had not delivered the plane. I'm rescheduled at a facility that won't walk out.

Not that I'll use ICT again, but I'll ask plenty more questions before I would consider going out there.

Plan accordingly.

I am at Saftey Stand Down and I have our plane in ICT for an inspection. I can tell you that this week has not been anything but stressful. We have been told that the aircraft will be completed as scheduled and as you might have expected nothing has been mentioned at Stand Down regarding the strike. It is a little weird to drive past all the strikers to check on the plane. As you might have guessed many of the mechanics, paint people and other have honnored the strike and refused to cross the picket line. We have been told and have seen that some of the workers have crossed the picket line and also have had supervisors and others from other service centers working to complete our plane. I feel for everyone involved in this, and hope that the resolution is good for all. From an outside perspective, someone who is not involved, but directly affected this has been a difficult situation. I will update everyone later today or tomorrow. We are suppose to have our inspection completed today and leave tonight...We will wait and see.

Our 604 is trapped inside waiting to be reassembled from a pre-buy. Of all the delays in a purchase and remodel this was not expected. I'm glad we still have our 601. According to Bombardier it's not supposed to delay us that much but I seriously doubt it.
According to an inside source it's taking people 2 hours to make it into the facility from the outside.

Just a follow up. We picked up our plane from the Bombardier Service Center in ICT today. I can say that the folks at the service center where more than helpful regarding our situation. We did have a couple of items that they where unable to resolve as a result of the strike, but they had several options for us and we came to an agreement that will allow us to complete those items at no additional cost to us. It is a terrible situation for all those involved but I can say that they where very professional. I would not hesitate to bring our aircraft there again.

So, what's going on at Yingling these days? I haven't been there in years now...
