LA/San Fernando Valley area - WIA, JobConnect office said there wasn't any money. The most they would do is a $1,000.

End Of Year WIA Funds in CA

Most of the state is out of funds until July 1st, then it still varies per county.

Would that be the crisis created when a couple of Texas utilities extorted billions from the state and its people?

No, Texas benefitted from CA, but it was CA's own fault. They were the id10t's that forced the utilities to sell their power production plants and buy power on the open market, WITHOUT being able to raise their rates as needed.

When the power prices quadrupled, the utilities in CA couldn't meet the expense. It bankrupted ALL utilities in CA and the state itself.

Gray Davis still can't seem to figure out that something is wrong when expenses are greater than income. Each cut he tries to make ticks off whatever special interest group that gave him bribes previously.

Awwwwww....

In the meantime, Federal funds are still available, but will probably be siphoned to other programs come July 1st.
