Weeeeeelll...at the risk of stating the obvious, Eagle is going to put some more airframes into service. OR, shift some airframes and re-number then. Whatcha think??

I cant imagine them actually getting more aircraft. But who knows, it is the only thing that makes sense I guess.

It's the only reason you reserve an N number. It's possible there are a bunch of existing AE birds that AA anticipates putting the new numbers on, but that is less likely than putting those numbers on 'new' airframes.

This N-number craze happens often, there are several carriers with the same sort of reservations. AE had a huge chunk of #s reserved a year or two ago, but they expired and no new orders were announced. In other words, dont hold your breath. I think we all know that there wont be any expansion for anyone (AA or AE) until well after the APA contract is signed. THEN we can start to THINK about new aircraft, but with the latest rumblings from the CEO he wants to keep "capacity in check."

I was wondering how soon those taco jets are going to hit the end of their service lives...just guessing but I'd think some of them have to be close!

Those numbers have been reserved for several years. They must be renewed on an annual basis and then the renewal date will show up as the "reserved" date.

Nothing new and nothing imminent at Eagle with regard to new airframes.

At a previous job I flew an old Eagle Jetstream, it still had the original AE tail number on it. 920ae
