Why hasn't the new Legacy 500 been ordered by Fracs?

I took a close look at the new Legacy 500 at the last NBAA and I was impressed. Nice cabin, good performance and a very capable flight deck.

I would think the new Legacy 500 would be a natural addition to a frac's lineup. Why has that not happened? Any guesses? I suppose Netjet's huge CL350 order could have something to do with it from their standpoint. Now that FLOPS and Flexjet are combined, I assume the CL300/350 will knock the Legacy 500 out of contention. Again, I am surprised that Embraer did not get much traction in this category at the Fracs....

Here's a recent picture of the flight deck with the ProLine Fusion (looks comfy up front with the sidestick providing more room):

No doubt Embraer would want to do a deal to get some more sales...

My theory is that Embraer's development delays with the 500 and it's FBW doomed them. The CL300 is a known entity and beloved by passengers (or so I am told) making it a good replacement for the G200 at Netjets. I agree that the 500 probably would have made more sense at Flight Options before the Flexjet merger since it already operates a big CL300/350 fleet. XOJet already uses the CL300.

Wheels Up could probably use them unless you place the Legacy 500 in the same category as the C680 which Wheels Up will be using in the future. Other than that I don't see many fractional options...

Ricci wouldn't buy embraer again. It wasn't his idea to get the legacies. And if it's not his idea or at least he can put a spin on it and say it was his idea. Won't happen

I heard that Flight Options does not want all the Phenom 300 that were ordered and that some of those orders will be switched to the EMB500.
That is of course, if the price is right.

Maybe because you have to be a midget to fly a phenom, and the reliability isn't what was advertised?

I had heard that the Phenom 300 is a bit tight... The ERJ isn't much better. I can't imagine flying the Legacy 600 for more than 5-6 hours with my 2-hour a$$... Must be brutal in the Phenom 300 on long flights. That new Legacy 500 looks somewhat roomy without the yokes.
