Why does AStar need new pilots?

Hi!

Some friends of mine want to know why AStar needs so many new FEs right now. The said they hadn't heard that AStar was getting any new airframes, and adding up to 42 new SOs didn't make sense to them.

They are getting 2 more 727-200adv this year sometime. They are X-ATA airframes and getting the cargo door conversion now to be delivered later this year..

I would like to apply but I don't meet the mins. A lot of guys I know do, and they are interested in finding out more.
