I thought there were more votes cast in this election than in any other in history (over 130 million vs million 122 in 2004 and 104 million in 2000) - wasn't that true? How many need to vote before you say somebody voted?

Thanks to Democrat groups like ACORN, there is now a difference between 130 million votes cast and 130 million voters having cast their ballots.

actually there is a very good reason why idiots and dullards from both parties continue to get reelected. Its called redistricting. After every cenus, which happens once a decade, the congressional districts are remapped. guess who remapps them? answer congress. Both parties basically make a deal which districts each get. a certain number of districts that are basically locked in for each party. Its very easy for people like pelosi and Delay to get reeelected no matter what they do since their district is almost entirely made up of their respective party. This is one reason why challengers have an almost impossible task to push out an incubment. their have been attempts to correct this but from independent groups not from either party(duh!) its a system only a bolshivik would love its in the finest soviet tradition.
also most states have the same system so the reason why your state government is just as bad is the same. Real crime is done on paper.

Well, no. It's up to the states to do it according to their own laws and constitutions within the bounds of the US Constitution.
