We were flying from California to Texas and were following an aircraft with the callsign "air evac ####". Every controller who talked to them was very complimentary of them, taking the time to thank them for their service, especially during desert storm 2, be safe, God Bless, ect. This continued for at least 1000 miles. It was pretty neat. Does anybody know who they are? Civilian or Military? What kind of flights do they do? Just curious, Thanks.
 
I've worked several different types of military aircraft using that call sign. C-9's, C-130s, even UH-1s using "Evac" on a mission. And if it were just up to me, their priority would be somewhere above A1's...
