guess I'm out of the loop.....who is express jet and what are they flying.....for who (mainline carrier)....where are they at (domicile)? thanks

Express Jet is Continental Express

"We are the largest operator of regional jets in the world, providing Continental Airlines all of its regional jet airline capacity at its hub airports in Houston, Cleveland and Newark. Operating as Continental Express, our service is vital to Continental's system by allowing more frequencies to smaller cities than could be provided economically with mainline jet aircraft and by connecting passengers to Continental Airlines' flights."

What that paragraph really means to say:

"We are the largest operator of we'll call them "regional" jets in an attempt to pay obscene low wages for the liability of aircraft and passengers our pilots (FOs make less than senior Continental FAs) fly even though we fly from Richmond, Virginia to Houston Texas, to Palm Springs, California in the world, providing Continental Airlines all of its "regional" jet airline capacity to arguably the worst hub cities of any airline in Houston, Cleveland, and Newark. Operating as Continental Express, our very severe low wages are vital to Continental's system by allowing more frequenices to smaller cities than could be provided economically with mainline jet airlcraft, oh and forgot to mention that we do also fly CLE-ATL, CLE-DFW, CLE-MIA, we'll protend those are small cities on "regional" routes, and by connecting passengers to Continental Airlines' flights."
