Looking to catch a jumpseat down to Sydney, AUS... The PAX stuff would most likley work but I'm looking for a way to not sweat the last minnute load changes.

Atlas Air

Just looked at the schedule, and see that we'll be doing HNL - SYD on Feb 16,17,18,19,23,25,26. We usually depart SYD and go to either HKG or PVG.

If you are going to try UAL, be careful. That flight often gets weight restircted. Also, as of two months ago, thier Int'l JS policy was like the OLD one. Only as many rides as seats. Problem, its a 747-400 with three JS's. TWO of the JS's are occupied by relief pilots so there is ONLY one JS rider allowed. That's if it's not restricted.

I know it's cool to go Int'l for nothing but dept taxes, but try a ZED on Qantas, cost you less than $250 RT.

If you do decide to make the trip on the "Big White Rat" (Qantas). Check they don't have an employee travel ban in place. This time last year, they did on Intl. flights.

Fedex MD11's fly in there from subic maybe ?????

Anyway, PM me if you want some tips on where to go and stay.

cheers

Atlas also do ORD-HNL-SYD. The same aircraft with a crew change in HNL. Junior Atlas crews are dependant on the generosity of others to allow us to get to work so we are really happy to get the chance to reciprocate. This trip is usually flown by senior guys but they are good folk and will take great care of you!

FedEx comes in from HNL and departs to Subic. No international jumpseating for non FedEx employees. If you're CASS, you're more than welcome domestically.

Thanks to all the replies... My parents live down there so all the where to go/stay stuff is covered. I'm just tired of playing the non-rev game on airlines to go see them and was looking for more of a sure thing for cheep... I also like the idea of chilling in an Atlas 74 with the dome to myself for 8 hours. Did Polar stop going down there?
