Anybody know of a charter company that fly's alot of celebrities. Just curious how do you get a job flying a hot movie star around? I have never seen a position posted for this kind of job. Anybody out there fly celebrities other than race car drivers.

Trust me... Most of those "Hot Movie Stars" are the most pompous a$$holes you have ever met... It isn't like you are riding around and partying with them... You are their "Driver"... Just like the guy driving the limo, except they don't time you, but they do tip the limo driver...

If you insist on this kind of punishment, I would guess Clay Lacy out of VNY would fit your bill...

Good luck!

I've had alot of experience flying famouse types around, some are exactly that way but most I found were the most gracious and appreciative people. Somehow they just don't make up for the other group that falcon capt mentions.

Of course, thats true for the bread and butter financial types on their roadshows also. You just have to do your job professionally.

Most of the time the celeb is just another customer to the charter company, I don't know of any that fly them exclusively.

"What do you mean you can't put this thing into Steamboat? I don't WANT to land at Hayden!"

90% of these "famous" people cant afford to have thier own plane, so they charter.

they charter from $hitbag opeators who will bend over backwards to accomodate thier everchanging and $hitty schedules. All of this at the pilots expense.

Having done it, I can tell you there is NOTHING exciting about flying these pompous jackoffs who rent beat up GII's and Learjets.

Hey, its a way to build some experience but its a miserable career.

In my previous life we flew many celebs, all in all they were not that bad to carry. It's just another day on the job.

Actually, many corporate 'types' who, for one reason or another, got to ride on a chartered jet and thought they were rock stars for a day were the people that we had the most trouble with.

If you get a job at any charter company, especially near a large metropolitian area, sooner or later you get the opportunity to fly 'the rich and famous'.

I've flown only a couple of handsful of celebs/politicos. All were very cordial. The nicest and most down to earth was Gary Bauer, forgotten presidential candidate. The one I had the most trouble with was a certain well known coach whose team will be eating the cleats of the gentleman to the left (<========) in about 4.5 hours. However, in the short time I spent with him, I could easily see what a leadership attitude he has. If you're standing still, you'd better get the hell out of his way.
