Just curious about how the whole "going solo" thing has been coming along at ACA.

Anyone from ACA have any info.

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out. Hopefully for those of you at ACA it works out.

This could again alter the airline industry and cause a shift in the current paradigm.

Although I don't have an immediate vested interest in the whole goings on at ACA I too am very interested in the situation. Have there been any rumours and/or discussions about Virgin America and ACA becomming one in the same?

lazy8s,
Excellent use of the word paradigm...haven't heard that one since advanced business courses in college:)

Cheers,
Markus

lazy8s paradigm

explain to me how you came up with the word paradigm as a descriptive term describing todays' airline industry....

how do you define paradigm?

An example that serves as a pattern or model (Webster if ya wanna know)

Meaning that if ACA goes from being a Regional Whore like the rest of us, to its own successful airline, they would shift said pattern or model. If one goes the possibility exists for any of our airlines to follow.

Clear as mud huh??

3 years ago, I couldn't spell pilot and now I are one!! :D :D

Is it really something new? Look at many of the majors history. USAIRWAYS for example. They started serving a limited market in the northeast using small prop. aircraft. Doesn't sound much diiferent than ACA.

So is it a paradigm shift or is it our current industy life cycle?

What does make me laugh is the fact that many of the folks who started out in DC-3s and now fly widebodys are so quick to point to us in a crj and say that we've sold out some how.
