Hi all,

I know this has been discussed before, but which type rating you think is the best to get. Does it really matter which type you have if you dont have 500 hours in the a/c.

I flew a Hawker, but was thinking about getting a type in something else. Hopefully the government will pay for it. (W.I.A)

Thanks!:)

Yeah this has been discussed numerous times but I think all agree that a Citation type or Lear type would be most useful - they cover the most number of aircraft.

You're right - a type rating is somewhat useless unless you have time in the aircraft to back it up. There are a fair number of Hawkers out there - since you have some time in the Hawker you might want to look at that type.
