Hi all,

Just curious which regionals are requiring a training contract for newhires & for how long. Trying to help a family member through the hiring process, and there are few regionals that just come out and say it. Thanks!

You can pretty much say if an airline has a training contract theres a reason. THEY SUCK!

I can't believe there are still people out there who would sign a training contract just to say they are an airline pilot. Its a wonder these airlines can get anyone at all.

But the converse is not necessarily true. Trans States does not have a training contract.

Compass has a 12-month 12k training contract (pro-rated). At least newhires get an ATP & ERJ170/190 type rating in return.

Eagle has a 18-month training/$10,000 contract for those who are sent to the Flight safety transition course before ground school. Typically those who are below 800/100 are recommended to attend the course.

The ones I know of....
Mesa 1 year training contract
Trans States - none
Horizon 3 year prorated training contract

I be suprized dat Mesa don't got juan dat makes ya stay fo twenty years or you owe J.O. a million dolla's......
Yeah, Bouyyyyyyyy.....

Bout the only one that is kind of worth it is Compass cause at least you get typed in initial training. Any other contract is rediculous since you get nothing out of it.
