which handheld - Icom or Yaesu?

I am shopping for handhelds and am looking at the major brands of Icom or Yaesu. Which is more popular and why?

I have an ICOM A20 that is at least 15 years old, it has a rechargeable built in battery, this transceiver has been flawless, the leatherette case is showing it's age but the radio is still performing like new, initially bought this brand because I was familiar with their amateur radio gear reputation.
