Just wondoring if anyone knew where the cheapest Avgas was in the Northeast?

Pretty cheap

Hudson ( Columbia County - New york ) had 226 self serve last time I was there

gas prices

has gas prices for the entire country, updated regularly by people who travel. Also rate the FBO's and give you a level of expectation. FI, I stopped at genesee county, in NY, and there is no airport car, no food except for vending machine. SYR, in contrast has higher prices, but courtesy car.

That web site www.airnav.com is great for planning your flights to minimize gas prices. Just keep in mind that some of the cheapest prices are in smaller out of the way places, and may or may not be current, and may or may not be staffed or open after hours or on weekends. I've used airnav for several coast to coast (usually Los Angeles area to DCA area) flights over the past few years in my Cherokee, and probably average saving a couple hundred dollars each trip. But I've also almost gotten stuck in a few middle of nowhere places, which advertised real low prices, but when you got there, no one was there (nor was it a self-serve pump). I always call ahead now, to verify prices and hours of operation. And I make sure I always have an hour of fuel left in the tanks, even for VFR flying.
