I am trying to get some ideas on where to take my yearly vacation to. One of the perks of my job is getting to take the airplane(Citation 501) on vacation. Trying to plan a nice 3 week getaway for the wife and I that won't be too costly.
I have to remain in the US or Canada and no islands. Any suggestions.

Where haven't the two of you been?

Awful nice employer you've got. Is he paying for your fuel also? That'd be awsome

Key West is a part of a penisula, not an island? Maybe? Please?

I live in Illinois. Key West was one of the places I was looking at I haven't been there before.

I have been lots of places for my job, but my wife hasn't really seen a whole lot of the country.
Yes he is paying for the fuel. Although I can go anywhere, I probably won't go to the west coast, because I feel that will cost him too much and I want to be able to do this every year.

If you have kids, I'm sure you thought about disney world. The tickets to the parks are pricey but you could save money on the resorts. Westgate resorts
has deals that if you listen to a 90 minute timeshare presentation, you can get 4 nights in a 2br./2ba, w/ kitchen and jacuzzi for $120. (not per night but
a total of $120. There are tons of timeshare deals in Fl. and Las Vegas. Also, I've heard Colorado is awesome. And being from Chicago, I don't have to tell you that Mackinac Island and Traverse City in Michigan are great places. If you are looking for outdoor adventure I'd go where the mountains and lakes are.

In Canada, I'd go here:<http://www.banff.com/>

I have been there...it's so spectacular, you won't believe it!

I will second Banff Alberta. I was there during the winter and the skiing was awesome and the views. Everybody told us that summer is even better.

Thirds, Banff, Alberta!

The drive between Banff and Jasper through the Rockies is one of the most spectacular trips in North America. One of those "do it before you die," things.

If you don't want to go to Canada, I second Maine.

Bar Harbor is great, as is Camden, and then a little further north a village on the water called Belfast. There's a wonderful B&B there called The White House. Top class gorgeous place. When my fiance and I went there, there was a view out over the water from the bathrrom ~ you could see it from the bathtub. The breakfast is terrific.

Further north, the town of Blue Hill is gorgeous, as is the nearby village of Brooklin.

Have fun!

You may want to check out Jackson Hole WY if you want mountains. Yellowstone and great fishing.
