Any body have good gouge on hotels in Cancun for a mini vacation? Should it be "all inclusive"? Anything else I need to know about the place having never been there?

Thanks, Banditio

Go all inclusive.

Try any of the "Palace" hotels. They are all quit nice.

Moon Palace, Sun Palace, etc...

Have fun!

the best is the grande caribe real!!!!!!!!!! I got to hang out with Donna Derico and none other than Nikky SIXX ......Sweet times except I couldn't stand up for a while

If ya don't go to coco bongo, then you might as well shoot yourself in the head! Best night club i've ever been in, and probably will ever be in. It is just off the hook man! I stayed in the oasis cancun, it is for spring breakers(a.k.a very very hot south american women in string binkini's). I suppose you could stay at one of the old folks homes there, but i doubt it will have over 13 bars like oasis. The food there isn't the greatest though, but an alcholic like myself that doesn't concern. Trust me, you will always have plenty to drink here. Sure wish I was going, have fun man

Thanks

I booked the room at the Oasis Playa. $120.00 per night for two all inclusive. Sounds ok. Thanks for the replies.

A really good place to check out is www.fodors.com. They have a really great travel guide for Cancun online.

A couple of places to hit. Go to La Distilleria for dinner. Great food and over 150 tequilas in stock. Also Las Margheritas at the big shopping mall. Fabulous authentic dishes from different parts of Mexico, great entertainment and really amusing bartenders. 100% Natural is a good spot for breakfast. Really fresh food at good prices.

Also, be prepared. Prices for most everything in the Hotel Zone are adjusted to US dollars so don't expect cheap unless you head downtown or the samll towns on the way to Chitzen Itza (which you should go see!!!)

Also make sure you grab a bottle of La Cazadores tequila at the Duty Free on your way out. It's the best stuff I've ever had. Smooooooove.

You might also want to try www.skyauction.com ..... this is a site where all the time share people that can't use their ...well... time share.... put it up for auction. Just pick your region and at the bottom of the page skip to the 10th page and make sure you read everything. Some auctions have a tax charge for the whole week some are per person and some are nightly. I went to Cabo for a week for 200 buck and stayed at Sol Mar..... not all inclusive, but still a hell of a good bargain.

Good luck and have fun.

don't forget to ask for an airline discount. Our all inclusive at the Oasis was $80 per night.

The senior frog's all night bus/bar tour is a must! Trust me on this one. No....I really me it, trust me on this one.
