Hi just wonder if anyone knows where you find freelance instructors or instructors that ain't flying that much and would like to instruct a student.....
I am right now 100 hours away from my CPL and are looking for an Instructor who is able to Teach me everyday for a couple of hours, and who would be able to do it where I Live.
I can pay him about 20-30 an hour for instruction or what the Normal Rate is..in my area about 25$ an hour.
I do not know how many hours it will take me to do the CPL but I just need the Instruction for that and Maby CFI.
I have all my complex time, and long Cross Contry
If he/you would like to log the Rest of the hours lets say that the instruction is 20 hours so 80 hours or more left, you can do so if you dont mind sharing a bit of the cost as i have friends who would like to do so..but again first of all just need the instruction BUT if you are in need of hours that could be an idea. I might be doing some Multi time as well that you could Log + you would be staying at no cost at my Place.
But it was just a small idea if there was ANY instructors who didn't fly much.
so just Email me if So....

where do you live?

PM me to let me know where you live and I might be able to help. Otherwise, I do most of my advertising through word of mouth and business cards on airport bulletin boards so other freelancers in your area might do the same. Good luck.

I've never really freelanced, but when I was a green CFI I used to belong to NAFI (National Association of Flight Instructors) www.nafinet.org . As a member, they will list you on their website. There are hundreds of CFIs listed, so if you check it out, maybe you can find someone that can help you out. Another alternative would be to look at the list on www.aopa.org , but I think NAFI would have the longer list.

The three full-time instructors at the company at which I work in the CHI-town area would bend over backward for an opportunity like that. I'm sure it wouldn't be that big of a problem to find someone even at a flight school.
