I am new to everything. I don't know too much about how TSA, FAA, NTSB and the Airlines play together. But I do know that some pilots have applied and earned the right to carry a firearm into the cockpit.



Does anyone here have that authorization? If so, how difficult was it? Is it even worth the crap that is stated in the article above?



As I said before, I'm just learning so any info would be nice.
 
Maybe the part where they are...
probing into the most private workings of any person
...is scaring them off. Probation can be an eye opening experience.
 
Fortunately, most places offer a raise after probation. For those that don't qualify for the raise, there is usually an offer of double secret probation, followed by more probation.
