When will ACA be officially released from the UAX contract? Do they have to wait until UAL exits bankruptcy?

My understanding is there is no end date set in stone any time soon.....even ACA mgt doesn't know when they can redeploy their CRJs.

Is this correct?

Before United can exit chapter 11 they must either reaffirm or void the exiting contract. Therefore, expect United to hold on to ACA until the very last day.

As of this week, United has projected a June 30, 2004 exit date, which is suppose to coinside with their planned completion of a commuter terminal at Dulles. Given that United has limited gate options for express I fully expect them to keep ACA on until the new gates are completed or the day before they exit BK.

I think J41CA meant "existing" contract. Since UAL and ACA could not agree to new terms the old contract remains in force unless/until UAL cancels it.
