I'm not sure but I think its a Photoshop job:rolleyes:

Looks nice if you ask me.

the talk around the shop anyway. next year they will furlough????????? let the rumors fly.

To address your rumor, YES the Midwest is going to furlough.

The Chicago/Milwaukee metro area had become too congested. Traffic lasts all day. As a result, the most junior Midwesterners are going to be forced to move to Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. The senior ones will be going to Nevada, Florida, and Arizona.

Midex JA's people all the time cause they have a messed up bidding system. Ive seen it first hand. 80% of JA's are not necessary. Could easily be changed if they would make small changes to picking up opentime.

Sad to say that it looks like they will be furloughing in '08. Hope it doesn't come true.

so if you furlough is it because you are going to lose airplanes or is skywest taking over more of your flying????????? seems like they have already took some of midwest routes

haven't most of those routes been new routes? i dont recall hearing midex over rdu/msp/cos approach.

phish...i do love that plane in those colors...that would have been a dream come true for me

Routes

Skyway used to do RDU, Skyway and Midwest used to do MSP. They've taken a meaningful amount of Skyway flying and given it to Skywest, and even some of MidEx's routes as well.
Midwest management will do whatever it can to try and keep their own jobs at any expense, then tell the pilots, employees, and people of Wisconsin they should all be grateful for the privilege of having Midwest in MKE. Impeach Hoeksema!!
Rumor control request- how much do you think Skywest's 50 seaters are costing Midwest in the subcontract deal?

they didn't TAKE anything.

the 80's flying was increased to the west coast and florida, which caused the 717 to cover the 80 routes dropped, which caused the CRJ's to cover the 717 routes. as far as most are concerned they don't miss EWR or PHL on the 717. MSP is still flown by the 717, i believe it is 50/50 right now with the CRJ. if TPG deal goes through i would imagine it all goes CRJ or goes away entirely.

furloughing is all a wildcard now. who knows. it might all be a 2008 contract opener from management.

Gee, sure was a smart move of you guys to oppose the merger with us. Furloughs instead of growth and record profits. Yep, real smart.

cause we all know if we were for it, it would have happened.

A lot. I'd guess at least a million a month to the negative side after it's all said and done. Demand is weak, fuel is expensive, and the expansion into a looming recession doesn't seem so smart now. All of the revenue numbers are down, and traffic is said to be even weaker than it normally is in the 1st quarter.

BTW- Midwest did BDL and RDU before we did RK. Hope you're well.

Good enough, K. I'll keep doing this until my Powerball numbers come in, I guess. What are you doing with all that free time now that golf is out of season? :)

You guys would have dropped Skyway faster than you can defer your aircraft deliveries.
