Don't waste your time. Currently 300+ on furlough with no planned recalls until maybe next spring. We were even offering leaves for this winter probably to prevent furloughing the guys who got recalled this past spring. You won't see everyone back and hiring at Xjet until CAL starts to recall its guys. That won't be for sometime, because Gordo and his bean counters are setting up CAL to shrink down to 300 total airframes.

The only thing we have going for us right now is that we are working on a new contract and this pilot group won't bend over and take the junk that certain other groups have thus far. Other then that we have basically become Eagle, little to no movement and +5 year upgrades if your lucky. That's why it's pretty critical that we get a seriously good contract, because we're all going to be here a long time. Wouldn't plan on any hiring until at least mid '05.

I would agree with this. Well over 300 on furlough and no hope in sight with regard to recalls. My personal opinion is that there won't be any more recalls until the contract is settled. That could be at least another year from now.

Also, I have heard, that since CAL has less than 50% of the shares of Expressjet, that any new CAL furloughs will go to the street, not flow down to Expressjet. And, Expressjet will be getting new airplanes this year and next, which will help the situation there. (I have a good friend there)

Bye Bye--General Lee:cool:  ;)

I don't think anyone really knows if the flow-through agreement is legally terminated. ALPA hasn't even addressed the subject except for saying "we're looking in to it." We probably won't find out until the issue is tested, i.e., more CAL furloughs. It is my hunch that they'll still flow down even though CAL's ownership of ExpressJet is down to 45%.

It sucks here and mgt is dragging feet on contract(or someone is)
I just want to get freakin paid or shut this place down. I have no problem going to find some other crappy job that pays 25 grand a year. And I went to college for this.

And to think I could have had a promising career as a fluffer in the gay porno industry

Also props to the guys at airlink for getting my sorry azz from FSM to MEM today(even though I really didn't want to go)

Yeah moral is at an all time high here at jetlink

Hagen, chill out, take a quailude and wash it down with a beer.

Negotiations are progressing at a good pace. Keep in mind that we've been going at it for less than a year. The NC, is doing a great job at making sure that the language is right in the new contract. God knows that our current contract is Swiss cheese.

Have patience, we'll get something thats will pretty good sometime in the first quarter.

Hey General Lee,

It sounds like your good friend at COEX likes to smoke crack! But I guess the part about new airplanes is true... We are still taking deliveries of NEW 145XRs.

Man I crack myself up

riddle me this Jimbo
310 days and how many of the sections are closed? 10 out of 23. I'm a very patient person but I've been living off nothing for too long.

I was talking to Airlink crew today about some stuff. Scheds there have an arc program but they don't use it.(they did after 9/11 but not anymore) They can't have days rolled. Esp from a reassignment coming off a 4 day. Crap like that pisses me off. Its not like I have a whole lot of say in what goes on in my life but when I schedule stuff to do on days off and then it gets rolled without a second thought well that makes my blood boil. So don't tell me to chill out as I'm sure none of this has ever happened to you for 3 years. Or if you hold a line its not a problem for you. I've come to the realization that I'm going to be on reserve for a lot longer and I've had it up to my eyeballs at what I'm willing to take anymore. And it ain't much.

There isn't much you can say to make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Thanks TACO but I can't afford the "E" anymore. I'm still paying off student loans and living in a cardboard box, and riding my skateboard to work

Sections 6,9,10,11,12,13,15,17,18,18A,19,23 are officaly closed.

Section 20 General and 7 Sick leave are unofficaly closed at this time pending MEC approval. Things are coming along, just hang in there.

Believe it or not negotiations are going fine, it takes time to get things right.
