"I'm sick of carring you guys"

fugazi, that says a lot. Besides being insulting, you can't even use a spellchecker.

In a previous life, I was a sim instructor and check airman. Later, I was a line check airman. My experience was that a lot more young guys had training problems than older guys. I found that experience trumped reaction time in most situations. This is probably not true for a fighter pilot, but, for us, it usually works better to think first instead of leaping into action.

And, DOH, there are some overweight and/or lazy younger guys out there also.

Sorry to rant, but sometimes you guys just piss me off.

Helm

The old guys I fly with do everything, and do them well.

There are guys who were dicks when they were 25...and they are dicks when they are 65.

There are good guys when they were 25...and they are good guys when they there are 65.

Age doesn't have a thing to do with it...it is what your mom taught you when you were growing up...and how much attention you paid her

Truer words were never typed.

Mr. doh, my apology. After re-reading the rant against old people, I notice the infamous Mr. fugazi really taking it to a nastier level
...perhaps he had a bad day that day...maybe even having to fly with one of those old farts. Anyways, I think(being somewhat elderly myself) that one should not make general statements as were posted. Is flying with a 63 or 64 year old OK, but not a 65 year old? I know several
younger captains at Flex who won't lift a finger to help out other than their narrowly prescribed responsabilities..you know who I'm talking about...are they OK 'cause they haven't reached 60 yet? If anyone is acting senile or just plain dangerous, it is your solemn duty to report that to an ACP in an open and factual manner. Finally, any pilot who has hit 65 and not looking to retire pretty soon is someone who needs to re-evaluate his thinking....there are a lot more pleasant things to do at that age than push tin(IMHO).
Regards,
WL
Ya, I Guess it was a bit harsh..my appologies to those who were offended.

Hey Flexjet guys - have you replaced all of your older Lear 60s with the newer 60XRs?

Also, when are the new Lear 70 and 75 expected to arrive on the property? Next year?

Does anyone remember when Flexjet made "the calls" last year for the Lucky 6? Speculation on another call for later this year?

It doesn't sound like any calls will be made this year. I think the whole thing is hinging on fleet replacements/additions (lear 85 driven that is). If the 85 becomes an "addition" to the fleet then that is good news. If it "replaces" another fleet, well, more of the same grind.
