Gotta trip to HAF tomorrow, any recommendations on places to eat, local things to do etc....????

Thanks!

Surfing according to an old roomate, do ya think the customers would mind if you brought your surfboard along??

On second thought, surfing makes you part of the food chain, better find something else to do.

Not much of a surfer, heard about great whites in that neck of the woods...

Anyone else been there?

Thanks Furlough,

I couldn't help but notice the 747 avtar and your ratings, I'm just finishing up reading 747 by Joe Sutter -- chief Boeing engineer. It's written for the layman, and shows the plight of the aero-engineer in painfull clarity.

I'm trying to learn more about 747s over the next few months before I submit an application to CX. Maybe a little prep will help if I get the call to interview before the studying deluge begins!

Any books that you recommend for the above purpose?

HAF is my favorite airport. I don't know, I guess it being right off the ocean, the name, the ocean right there, the name. There are I think 3 restaurants off the field within short walking distance. There are some tiedowns off the approach side for rwy 30, they're like southeast of the numbers, just follow the taxiway all the way down.

your best bet is to go into town. got a friend that lives in El Granada which from my understanding is closer to the airport then Half Moon Bay is. The airport area is kinda barren from my experiences there.
