I just got my Delta Skymiles statement and it has some ad for a new, lost-cost carrier operated by Delta called Song. I checked out their website (www.flysong.com) and they've already begun service. This is the first I've heard of it. What's the story with this? Is this the same service that used to be called Delta Shuttle or is this something totally different?

The ad mentions JetBlue like features--personal video monitors with digital satellite TV. What's Dela up to?

Wow, i'm surprised there are actually people who have never heard of Song..
They've been operating for several weeks as a low-cost carrier subsidiary of Delta. 36 757s are being repainted and introduced into the fleet. I believe they'll be operating east coast routes as it is supposed to be a replacement for Delta Express. They operate on Delta's operating certificate so their callsign will still be Delta.
The "JetBlue" amenities apparently will not be available until later this year so they're handing out gameboys to passengers. I think i want to fly Song once they get the ptvs in the seats.
