Do we know when ACA will be breaking off from United? Will more CRJs be painted in the new Indy paintscheme (how many are already painted besides the first)?

How do you guys feel about United's plans to build a new regional terminal at IAD?

What date can we expect Indy Air (at least an estimate) flying?

Timeline? It's in UAL's hands. We are told ACA and UAL are working on an "amicable" divorce.

UAL's new terminal at IAD. Someone said it would be completed in 5 months, which leads me to believe it will be nothing more than a big trailer park.

We have the option of flying Airbusses as Independence Air concurrently with CRJ's as UEX (if UAL delays further.) I don't see this hapening. There will be a set date, you will not see Independence Air livery until we finish out UEX program.

We are ecstatic (except for a few that will complain all the way to LAX as they sit in the left seat of the Bus. But every airline has those.)

The only thing I'll be complaining about on my way to LAX in the left seat of the bus will be adjusting my 1:30 bladder to a 5:00 flight :)

UAL can build all they want. Let them spend $22M for a trailer park on Fox ramp fed by busses. Rumor has it it won't even have potties. This just means UAL is another $22M in the hole.

641BR is the only plane in Independence Air colors right now and it is our charter bird. We have the ability to retrofit 20 birds a month with new paint and new interior including the new spectrum leather seating.

Timing for rehabbing the CRJs is still up to UAL & ACA to hash out. I would suspect UAL to not be friendly in this matter, but it is good for both sides to have an orderly transfer. Trouble is that UAL is not known for being rational when someone dares to tell them to piss off.

I hope UAL builds a nice one so, after they learn they can't compete, we can buy it at wholesale prices.

Nah Whitecloud, the fox gates for the replacement UAX is way tooo far away. The pax will have to go through security, board a mobile lounge to terminal D, walk to the west end, wait for and then get on a bus that will have to cross active taxiways all the way out to the fox holding pad. Once they get there they will have no potties, no food or magazine stands and be trapped till their flight goes.

In contrast, Independence Air pax will be able to get on the A terminal mobile lounge or use the maybe to be completed this decade tunnel, sit at new gates using wi-fi and go potty, buy a magazine or coffee and have all the flights go out of terminal A or the first 8 airbus gates at terminal B just a few steps away. Add the conveinence of greater frequency and lower fares and the traveler will be sold.

We don't have to go everywhere UAL goes, all we have to do is fill our own planes to make money.

BTW boys & girls, see how USAir is doing with the ATSB loan requirements of cash on hand and monthly positive cash flow? UAL will be in the same boat, forced by the ATSB loan to cover their costs each month while all the LCC competitors make a profit at lower cost structures.

I defer to the voice of experience. Since there are no facilities will UAL at least provide paper cups to the pax?:D
