im just looking for some insider info in airnet. ie current relastic hiring hours. and the qulity of life with the airline.

Here's one for the Rumor bin....

I had a guy tell me that his company told him that Airnet was finished carrying any bank work by the end of the year.

Haven't heard that one.

yeah thats a pretty good one...

our contracts run longer than that however, so i don't think it will happen.

Hiring mins are 135 mins right now... other than that, i really do not keep up to well with the hiring process anymore. And the quility:p is ok if you don't mind nights. Days off are nice.

Allen Greenspan and George Bush passed a bill that would no longer require the Federal Reserve to have the hard copy (check) to the Federal Bank. It's all to be implemented to be done electronicaly. I read about it in a recent article in AIN Aviation International News.

you are right, it is called Check 21, and it was passed last year...around Oct i think. It ONLY gives the banks the opportunity to go paperless...this is very cost prohibitive to smaller banks who will still send paper. For more info go to the Federal Reserve website and you can see that this bill will not eliminate check hauling at all.

Class size is still around 4 people per class. Classes are running do to attrition of pilots leaving for Regionals. Can anyone confirm this rumor... After passing the Indoc exam, you are then base assigned and whatever base you choose (thats open) you go for aircraft training specific to your base.
Quality of life is how you make it.
IFR 135 mins for hiring, Competitive is College Degree, 100 hours or more of multi, MEI and the amount of flying you've done in the past 30/60/90 days.

yeah its that whole seat lock thing now... kinda crazy, but i can see where it saves excess training time transitioning people.

It is also kinda crazy because when i went through you were not assigned until you completed your checkride... reason being, you may not pass the training, so it does not make sense to assign something and close the bid on it if that person does not pass their checkride. That would keep a floater on it longer since they would have to reopen the bid... so much for trying to cut costs on floating...i guess they don't care since they don't have to pay floater pay much longer.

you now get assigned a base before you come to class

So if you don't get the base you like, do you not show up to training? How do they work it? Can you still lateral to a base with the same a/c?
