Due to limited cars at the FBO I went to lunch with a Citation Shares crew about a month ago. It seems like the place to be. If not the highest paid fractional then close, one week on one week off (sweet), and you can live anywhere within a two hour drive of any of there numerous bases. Why do I never here anybody really talking about them. All I hear is Netjets, Netjets and more Netjets. Please feel free to correct any incorrect statements. WHATS THE DEAL?

Lear....start a CS thread and run with it. For some, its the place to go...for others, NJA is the place.

Good luck.

I know I work for the least desirable fractional right now, if it weren't for being able to live wherever I want I would be out the door. But I see a light at the end of the tunnel in IBT1108. Before going to Citation Shares ask yourself, "Is CS the next FlOps?" What I mean is all the frax have been bleeding red ink for years, and up until the last couple years it's been ok. Manufacturers have been willing to lose money to gain market share. RTN had enough and told the managers at FlOps there would be no more bail outs from Mother, the business needed to sink or swim. This is why life is so $hittty right now at FlOps. How long will it take before Cessna has too much to lose as they keep buying equity from TAG? Will CS go thru the same pain that FlOps is currently experiencing? My bet is yes, but I don't know when. Flex could also be next, who knows. All I know is that if I were williing to live in CMH I'd go to a company that is the biggest, has the most experience, and has a STRONG UNION with a great contract.

That's what the UAL and Delta people were saying right after they got their good contracts... ;) TC

um...no...not really. This yard seems to be the greenest of all...NJA.

The issue never seems to be where the yard is greener... the issue is whether the gardeners are willing to continue to do the work and make the sacrifices necessary to keep the yard green.

People, in general, like to ride the wave rather than create one.

Learpilot,
From what I can tell both are great places to work. NJA is great and everyone that talks about CS loves it. One is union, the other is not. We have the same salary (basically) and same schedule. The work rules are totally different. I don't know all the differences, but there are some.

I'm at NJA. I recently talked to some pissed off CS pilots who were ticked off about lack of work rules. At NJA we have very specific work and rest rules. And if the company violates those rules, which they sometimes attempt to do, we have a union that will fight for us on the spot and try to fix the problems.
If you have a problem at CS,what do you do? Hope for managment to fix their own problems?? Hmmm
