Whats the best way into Chautauqua?

I went to Chautauqua's website for info on sending in a resume. I only found the e-apply. I've heard that applying online doesn't always work and that H.R. never even sees it. Has anyone got their foot in the door there and if so, how? Sounds like Chautauqua is grade A. Thanks.
