You know, we sit here on this board *itching about the normal airline gig, and then you hear a story about Pat Tillman......don't you think some of us have lost track of what's really important........there is a much greater cause than flying for an airline.......

It's like a Greek Tragedy. I just had this feeling when I heard about him leaving for the military that he'd be dead before it was all over.

I wish I had never allowed that thought into my mind.

*Hats* *off* to all our military men and women.

RE Pat Tillman...

I wish I was in NY when that cry baby Eli Manning was drafted by the Chargers.

Maybe somebody should point out to Eli what is really important. I hope the fans in Giants Stadium and the NY Media rip him a new one for his actions this week.

Pat Tillman gives his life for this country, and then 5 minutes later Eli stands at the podium as the number 1 pick, and he's not happy.

I hope Archie ruined his image as well.

Archie needs to call the boy home for a brief session behind the woodshed. Peyton can help.

Archie is a class act. Peyton is a class act. Eli needs some coaching.

That's the problem! Arch was the one who held the press conference saying Eli wouldn't report to the Chargers. What was he thinking? If Eli wants to be a brat and say "hell no, I won't go," if Archie wouldn't take him behind the woodshed, then the least he could do is refuse to carry Eli's water and make him make the announcement himself.

My comment wasn't meant to be rude. I simply wanted to put a link up and say that Pat was a damm fine American, but the software bleeped out damm into the censored deal, so it looked bad. No hard feelings.

I'm with Stern, this censorship stuff going on today is out of control.

Well, shucks, I missed that. In that case, I'll have to reconsider the "class act" characterization - - disappointing, to be sure. I guess Peyton'll hafta take 'em both behind the woodshed now.

  :(

Sorry, Wrigley. Censorship software run amuck.

A salute to Pat and all the fine men and women of the armed forces, past present and future.

Eli Manning is an idiot. I would die to be in his position.

Family matters most

eli's a b!tch.

would be nice to see him get hit by a 6-5 460 back.....hmm who drafted that guy now?

Yeah, it's too bad Junior Seau isn't with the Chargers anymore. If the Chargers ever played the Giants, he definitely make ol' Eli "say ow"!

speaking of 'what's important'.... i was sitting at home today, sulking about my personal relationship with the woman, and had the television on.. cnn, i think. anyway, they start playing this video of marines near fallujah, in this firefight.. really opened my eyes to what's going on out there. amazing to see actual video tape of how our guys handle themselves out there, and the real danger they're in.
despite our personal and political views on the state of our nation, seeing this video made me realize how selfless and brave some americans are. god bless 'em.
