Any news on hiring off the street in 2004? and would 2700TT and 1100Multi qualify these days for F/O? Do they have any crew based in CLE?

whats new with mesaba? they are getting the shaft from northwest, thats what. northwest said they will put a bid out in december for some of their routes. if it goes to somebody else, many mesaba pilots could be out of work. their route structure could shrink dramatically

somewhere on here, they were saying XJ was going to have a furlough of about 30 guys.

just curious, do you live in a hole? if you do then i'd understand why you posted your message, unfortunately there are plenty of threads out there talking about how Mesaba is getting screwed my it's own management and by NWA. we just posted a furlough notice for 23 or 24 people and if NWA takes back all of the Avro's it will be about another 300. so no, we're not hiring and probably won't for a little while.

and CLE as a base - we dwell in NWA territory, MSP, DTW, MEM and for now CVG. perhaps you are thinking of Express Jet (XJT) which has a CLE base - we are XJ

sorry all ... did not mean to be ignorant ... it was late at night and I was dreaming out of my miserable beat up Navajo for a sched seat .... I did not mean to offend anyone (specially Saab...) with my lack of knowledge on Mesaba ...

Doesn't the term "hiring off the street" usually mean CAPTAINS? Just curious about the term, not beating on mayday.

Nope, it refers to all hiring from outside the company...
