I thought our fearless ALPA leader and Mr. Pistole of the TSA stated that flight crews would no longer be subjected to security in starting in the beginning of 2011.....

New CREWPass checkpoint at A & B gates in BWI. It started around the beginning of the year, hopefully it will spread.

I believe it was just pat downs and that xray machine.

Great question!

Unfortunately, that entire kerfuffle simply resulted in us only being required to do the same mindless thing we've been doing all along, go through bag check security. It "accomplished" us not having to do the full body scan, which we weren't doing before to begin with.

IOW, it simply maintained the status quo all-the-while making us feel like we won a victory--a lot like our current contracts.

This better happen soon but I ain't holding my breath. I'm running out of patience with some of these "infrequent traveling" trash pax with smart a$$ comments when I have to cut in line. Fortunately, there aren't too many of these douchbags but I can do without smart a$$ comments at 5 in the morning!

This is good. The more the flying public gets fed up with the ridiculouslessness of crew jumping the line, the more likely CrewPass will become a reality.

most of the guys realized that getting their ball bag rubbed in securty was more action than they get at home so we decided to keep it.
