Does anyone know the status of PSA if US Air goes under? I have a class date this month and don't know if it would be a good thing to do with all of the speculation of of US Air?

Nobody knows.

Operations will definitley cease for a while if USAirways goes under, but wether or not they resume will be up to the money Gods. If someone buys us whole that would be good, but then again who needs us? Someone could also just come in and buy assests without the pilots.

Basically, nobody knows. If the IAM comes to some sort of a deal today I would say things look good. If they get thier contract thrown out, then my guess is game over.

Hell, if you don't have a better offer why not come here and collect pay and some 121 turbine time while you can. Beats sitting on your azz at home.

Skeezer

I will be honest, I really don't think US Airways is gonna pull out of this. Delta is dropping prices, Southwest taking over PIT. US Airways is bleeding bad, and all the sharks are finally picking up the smell of blood.
I work for PDT, and I have pretty much decided to look at a new career (Billy Madison: Back to school). However for me it's here or nowhere, so if PDT (USAir) folds, my aviation career is done also.

Well on that note, PSA or PDT could be sold. If that happens its just a matter of wether the crews go also. So you never know whats gonna happen. PSA would be a better bet, since PDT has a bunch of wore out Dash's with a senior group of pilots.

Go to PSA, you have nothing to lose. US Airways folds, you got some RJ training and time under the belt. I think you might be better off with US Airways not making it, and being sold to a new company. The last 3 years have been like a bad dream.

Good Luck

I guess I'm just afraid of getting in there and getting furloughed for my third time. I really don't want to waste my time if it's going to be iffy. But I guess there's no way of telling at this point.

Why not at the least get some CRJ experience to leverage somewhere else? Couldn't hurt if you have nothing else to do...

Well the mechs had a hard day in court and the judge was on US airways side. I really enjoy working for PSA. Great folks and really classy outfit. We are getting 9 airplanes in 2 months and despite all predictions every single union has made the required concessions. Yes the sharks are closing in but we just will not die off and soon the sharks may have to find themselves some other prey!! Join the A team PSA in saving US Airways. We can compete with anyone out there with our affordable crews and Airplanes and we are enjoying the struggle. Personally you can only leave here better off than you got here. Benefits begin from day 1. you are a member of the company.

You will love it here. Rumors of us getting 90 seaters and more 70 seaters. It could be your best and most rewarding gamble!!!!!!!!

When in the month? After today's events, this might be important.
