In honor of MiniTour's first flight today in a complex aircraft, what was the first complex and/or high performance airplane you flew?

Mine was the mighty Cessna 182RG.

Mooney M-20s, Awesome airplane. It was a 2001 model so it had all the luxuries and the Go fast goodies. The flight school had choice of mooney or C-172RG.

M-20R...all the goodies on it (Radar Altimter, EHSI, StrikeFinder, some other junk)

b727

j/k i had no choice but the mighty cutlass

Aside from riding around in friends' Twin Commanche & Cessna 320... Turbo Arrow IV was the first I was PIC in.... The Turbo IV was actually a very nice airplane, compared to the earlier non-turbo'd arrows. Did my CPL in a cutlass.

My first complex PIC was in a beat up old Arrow. On my second flight in it, we had a gear indicator failure (turned out to be a failed microswitch on the left main gear) that gave me a good first-hand experience using the emergency gear checklist. The gutless Cutlass that I'm flying now for my commercial training is cherry compared to that old Arrow. :D
