OK, I'm ex-ATA. Supposedly, there's some job training monies being freed up for some job training, possibly type ratings. (See Majors board)

What type should I get? (I've got a B737 with a couple of thousand hours in it.)

What frac. or corp. flight department would hire me with just type an no experience in it?

Great question Hal... I'm in the same boat.

I believe ATA pilots fall under the same National Emergency Grant (NEG) as we (Aloha) do.

Basically, the way I understand it, if you don't have experience in type, you'd need to have a letter from a prospective employer stating that you need your selected type rating. I was told they're not gonna just fork over 20k for a Gulfstream/Falcon/Challenger type rating without some sort of an assurance that you'd be able to get a job with it.

You might want to check in with your type rating committee or something along those lines for specifics.
