So negotiate medical and CFI renewal, what else to look for.

CFI rewneal, NO. Medical, YES.

Your medical is required to do your job, just as initial and recurrent training, etc...and as such, is company provided.

Your CFI is NOT required for this position. You are a "new" employee...and I gather, an 'entry level FO'. IMO, it's completely unrealistic to "negotiate" that your new employer "pay" for your CFI renewal. Think about what it costs to go up every couple of years with a DE.

I wouldn't even THINK of bringing this up. It sounds like this outfit is doing everything right. Don't come off as being pushy!

To renew your CFI you only have to take an online course for around $100. You can pay $125 to American Flyers for the same course and have a lifetime agreement for it. I am pretty sure if its and FAA examiner it costs nothing to take a checkride.

I forgot to factor in the company has a C206 also for one of the jet owners sons to learn to fly in, so my CFI may be a factor. I imagine if they want me to teach in it they would cover all related expenses. But I would need 15 hours in one before I could get insured on it, plus I have not flown a single in over a year.

I hope to negotiate the contract later this week.
 
We have health insurance, eyesight, dental, loss of license/medical( through NBAA) and life insurance.
We also get 1 week off paid vacation per year first year, and 7 Holidays off per year. Since the Pilot's usually fly on these Holidays, I have negotiated a $600/day rate in addition to salry if we fly on any of those 7 Holidays. For instance, we get Thanksgiving off and the next day. Since I'll be taking the boss to NY for Thanksgiving weekend, I get an extra $1200 added to my check.
We also get a $50/day per diem, which I am looking to raise to $65.
I got our flight department everything the main company has in terms of benefits plus a couple of things I felt necessary.

There are some interesting additions to the usual requests but also very reasonable considering you work for a bigger company that has other employees that also get holidays off. It makes sense you should be paid if you have to work them.

How big is your company?
How big is your flight department?
The per diem is that in addition to Lodging, rental car, and meals?

I am not sure if my future company is a part of NBAA. I tried to get on the NBAA web site to find out info but you need a membership to get past the first page. I am familiar with the NBAA as it was my first exposure to aviation outside of commercial flying. While living in New Orleans in 2000 and waiting table I served (restaurant) some Sikorsky mechanics dinner and they got me into the show the next day, a few months later I was sitting in a C152 for my first lesson. I imagined myself in corporate aviation for a while but have been concentrating on freight and majors for the last 2 years, my career has come full circle.

How big does a flight department have to be before NBAA becomes beneficial?
